Fall break has a Monday problem.

USC’s provost told professors that undergrads shouldn’t have assignments due or work they’re expected to complete on Thursday and Friday, October 8–9.

Sounds great. But that doesn’t clear next week’s deadlines. A midterm on Monday, October 12, can still turn your break into a study weekend.

I also thought everyone got those two days off. Then a friend at USC law told me he still has classes both days. Some graduate programs follow a different calendar. No fall break for him.
